The 10 MOST Regifted Items

Are you regifting this year? Here's a list of the top 10 items people pass on to other people.

The key to regifting is the packaging. Check out these items that will make do when time or motivation to shop is low. (But come one, at least make it pretty with a bow or something.)

10. Booze

The key to this gift is it has to be new. A bottle of liquor, whatever it is, is fine as a gift as long as it hasn't been enjoyed yet.

9. Gift cards
A gift card! Hey, we'd call this hitting the regifting jackpot. As long as it's not expired...or to a store you'd never go to.

8. Fruitcake
That's just wrong. Don't regift fruitcakes. Use them what they're made for: the trash.

7. Candles
It would be nice if, instead of worrying about regifting, the habit of giving candles was put to a stop. If you don't know what they like, get them a card. And a gift card! No one wants these candles.

6. Cookbooks
Cookbooks are kind of in the candle category, unless the receiver is known to experiment in the kitchen.

5. Jewelry
If it's something just not your style, clean it up and regift away! If it's ugly as sin...don't do it.

4. Picture frame
And you can fill it with a picture of the receiver and it's personalized!

3. Gift basket
A great regift, as long as nothing's expired.

2. Housewares
Housewares can be great regifts as long as you personalize it and dress it up with some nice wrapping.

1. Clothing
According to many surveys, clothing is the No. 1 most regifted item. Probably most often the oh-so-awful holiday sweater.
